Burkina army, jihadists killed more than 1,800 civilians since 2023

In tonight’s edition, Human Rights Watch says Burkina Faso’s government forces and jihadists together killed more than 1800 civilians between 2023 and 2025. Also, a collapsed, unfinished school in Accra kills four people and injures nearly 30, raising concerns over unsafe classrooms. And  Belgium is resisting a U.S.-backed AI firm’s attempt to access historic mining maps that could reveal valuable mineral deposits.
